Matte Luxe Mighty

"Purchased this bag in the Matte Luxe Papaya Orange for myself and Sand for Hubby. I recently traveled on a 3-day air travel trip and grabbed the Charger and my Lemon Lime Plunge to pack. WOWSES. A great combination. Charger held everything I needed, including an extra pair of shoes. Great organization on the inside. Did add two packing cubes to the Charger to save space. First time I have travelled without a typical suitcase, and it is a game changer. Charger went into overhead bin and Plunge went under seat. Matte Luxe is a great fabric. Have had a few smudges and they always clean up easily."

Charger Matte Luxe - 18 inch width?

"This weekender bag really surprised me. On-screen the material looks like it has the texture of canvas but is labeled vegan leather - had no idea what that meant. Finally, I get it and the material has a stretch to it - feels like neoprene with canvas texture. The bag looked smaller than I expected so I measured its width. The bag I received left to right on the bottom measures 18 inches, NOT 20 inches as listed in every description. I should have known from the space ratio or the sides from the handle and how it compares to my other travel bags measuring true 20 or 21 inches in width. How can this be? Did I get a defective bag?? I emailed customer service a few days ago and am waiting for a reply. Last time I inquired about a product, it took 30 days for a reply but they did answer so I'm hoping to get clarification. I'm not sure I would have ordered it knowing it's only 18 inches but I will keep it. It's definitely a personal item size. While I don't agree that it's a luxury bag, it is a good looking bag that has a rugged cargo look."

Update to previous review from a few weeks ago…

"After using the bag on a flying trip, an expanded review is fair. 1. This bag is as big as the Trolley but more chic and stylish. This trip was a little more luxurious than my typical travel with grandkids, dogs and more “utilitarian” bags. So I wanted something fresh and upscale! This delivered! 2. Outside upper zipper soft lined pocket large enough to hold phone and giant sunglasses! 3. Outside lower zipper pocket easily held clear bag for TSA security, travel wallet, more glasses in the soft lined pouch and still had room for power bars! 4. The clear zippered side wall organization handled wet things in plastic Walmart bags perfectly! 5. Once I arrived, the option to use the trolley sleeve as a slip pocket came in handy when I repacked the bag for poolside use! Tucked an extra towel in the end strap too! Hadn’t expected that to be a possible use but it worked great! I always carry a lock cord to secure my bag to my chair and the end strap worked perfectly for that too! 6. The top handles are rolled, not flat but still ok for me. 7. The feet…I didn’t notice before but happily discovered they have “live life in color” imprinted in the metal! 8. After the pool day, the bottom easily wiped clean …after the trip, everything cleaned up quickly and is ready to go again. 9. Also carried a Carousel XL with this and I was stopped 4 DIFFERENT TIMES by women asking me where I found this “set” and raving over a white travel bag that looks this sharp!!! 10. Finally, I previously gave 4 stars for lack of side pockets and having a “grab” side strap instead. I used that strap for overhead bins, towels by the pool and additional security. Honestly, I love a good side pocket but the absence of outside pockets is offset by the chic silhouette and a small bottle water fit in the Carousel just fine. So, 4.5 stars for the Charger because it’s chic, cool, well organized, holds a lot and cleans up easily. WHITE MATTE LUXE for travel is such a refreshing change from my trusty tried and true but boring solid black. Note: the strap is the traditional nylon in white and then color is not exact but I don’t mind. The Lug badge above the top zipper is embroidered and the same as the strap which cheapens the overall loo&. It almost seems an after thought or a shortcut to save a little on manufacturing cost. To perfect this bag, give us the Lug badge in the matching metal there and/or a charm bar and put the logo elsewhere. Then it would be a 5!!"
