It all started back in 2005 with a spark of inspiration. Ami and Jason Richter had a vision to create fashionable, functional bags that could keep up with all the adventures life throws your way. What began as a passion project by the duo quickly evolved from a creative spark into a colorful, community-driven brand built on purpose and heart. This journey has been filled with creativity, fun, and most importantly, YOU, our incredible LugNut community!
In 2025, Lug celebrates 20 years of bringing joy, color, and organization to everyday life.
To mark this milestone, we are opening the Lug design vault and reintroducing some of our most beloved styles, refreshed for today’s lifestyle in the colors and patterns you have requested.
The Legacy Collection celebrates the iconic bags, meaningful moments, and incredible LugNut community that have shaped our journey. These aren’t just accessories, they’re part of our shared story. Back by popular demand, each style features thoughtful updates and special touches like a Legacy hangtag and exclusive woven label, making every piece a proud part of our anniversary celebration.
Since January, we've reintroduced fan-favorite styles like the Aerial Love Tote, Ranger Wheelie Luggage, Skipper Crossbody, and more, each one refreshed in new colors and prints for today’s lifestyle. And we’re just getting started! Recently relaunched, the beloved Carousel Crossbody Bag is back, alongside the lightweight Camper Crossbody Bag and our best-selling Tandem SE RFID Wristlet Wallet - with fresh designs, new colors, and even more to come.

LOVE LUG, congratulations on 10 years. Cheers to many more years to come. Now can we make a tech style back pack that can hold a 17inch laptop that’s made for women’s bodies with all the great organizational pockets and design we know and love from LUG. Please please with a cherry on top. Thanks
I miss options like crinkled nylon or brushed fabrics. Classic styles like the Hippy and the Via backpack. You used to have the inner wipeable pockets, the stacked pockets, inner dedicated water bottle pockets with options like heather gray. Please consider bringing these back in legacy or premium collection.
I would like to see the Switch come out in black, I really like this purse, I have it in peacock color. I also have the carausel in black, which I really like & haven’t seen it in plain black, lately
