20 years of Color, Functionality, and FunCelebrating 20 years with Lug means celebrating the art of creating; creating with purpose, passion, and plenty of color. From the start, our mission has been simple: design smart, functional pieces that make everyday life a little brighter. For our designer and co-founder Ami, functionality and fun go hand in hand, and that’s what makes every Lug bag unmistakably Lug.
What began as a mission to refresh the luggage world has grown into a movement built around joy, organization, and color. Two decades later, fan-favorite styles like the Puddle Jumper LE Convertible Tote Bag continue to prove that practical design can also be playfully stylish.
From Humble Beginnings to Big Stages
From humble beginnings, Lug quickly found its way into the hearts (and hands) of travelers who want organization that doesn't compromise on color and fun. A major milestone came in 2015 when Lug joined the QVC family, the number one home shopping network in the U.S., reaching over 100 million households. The Puddle Jumper’s debut on the show was an instant hit, selling out in just two minutes and solidifying Lug’s place in travel and lifestyle design history.
From that first two-minute sellout moment, Lug’s journey kept gaining momentum. As our community grew, so did our imagination. From the compact Coupe to the spacious Drifter, we’ve continued to evolve our designs to match the ever-changing rhythm of our customers’ lives.
Lug has been featured on Oprah (2006), The View (2024) and Good Morning America (2025), introducing even more people to our colorful, functional world. Each milestone reminds us how far we’ve come, and how our community’s love for innovation keeps driving us forward.
Creating Magic and Moments
As our designs evolved, so did our partnerships. In 2024, we teamed up with Disney Parks®, bringing our signature functionality and joyful design to EPCOT® at Walt Disney World. The collaboration gave beloved Lug styles a magical twist, creating exclusive products for park visitors to enjoy.
These collaborations reflect what Lug is all about: adding a little extra joy and color to everyday life, no matter where your adventures take you.
From Travel to Pop Culture
Our collaborations continue to celebrate creativity, personality, and connection, values at the heart of Lug since day one. The recent Care Bears x Lug Collection was a huge hit, filled with nostalgia, color, and the signature Lug touch you know and love.
In partnership with Universal, we launched the Wicked x Lug Collection in 2024, bringing a touch of magic and confidence to everyday style. This November, the Wicked: For Good x Lug Collection returns with enchanting new colors and patterns, once again celebrating the magic of Oz.
